OUR DAUGHTERS' SHARED ROOM
Today I am revealing our daughters' shared room!
My 6 year old daughter and I found a picture of a huge framed bird with a pink background on Pinterest when we were looking for inspiration for her new bedroom. She looooooved the bird...but wanted a blue background instead. Which meant I couldn't just buy the print of the bird we had found. SOOOOO...I painted her one instead. And she adores it! I even let her pick the blue she wanted from Sherwin Williams. I deserve some mad credit for that. Luckily she picked a perfect blue!
I also wanted to add as much height in the décor as possible since our ceilings are almost 12 feet! I went with wall flowers, poster beds, painted accents, fabric cornices, and pendant lighting to accomplish that goal. I can't wait for you to see!
I am so sorry for the terrible quality "before" shot you are about to see. I had to go way back in the camera roll on my phone to even find one! Here is a look at the "before" !
And the "after"!
I know it is hard to tell but that bird is over 8 feet tall and over 4 feet wide! The baskets hold all of their most played with toys and it is so easy for them to take the baskets down to play and makes clean up a breeze!
Our girls love their room! I can't wait to see what the years bring with the sister bonding going on up in here! Ha!
