Hi friends! Here to share a sweet little quick update to our living room. (I told you I would still share my personal decorating adventures!) So I had this space in my living room between the curtain panel and mantle that was just blank. (Pic below!) There is also more wall space on this side of the mantle than the other. AND I always wanted to sit on that end of the sofa to read but it was just too dark. Why it took me 10 months to realize I needed a wall light I'll never know.

Hi friends! Here to finally share how I made the cornices in the girls' shared bedroom for less than $35 each! And mine are large as far as cornices go. If you make smaller ones, this will be even cheaper! Plus, the fabric I chose was pricier than it could have been had I chosen something less expensive from Hobby Lobby, Joann's, etc. There are so many ways cornices can be done. As decorative accents like I've done, over windows in place of other treatments, over matching draperies, and on and...

Hey y'all! The back entryway is finally done! Sort of. This space was the same color as the master (a taupe color) and had turquoise doors on all sides. It opens up to our master bedroom, our master bathroom, and the kitchen...as well as the back door of course. I painted the doors (all except the back door because I didn't know what I wanted to do there) upon moving in and primed the walls as well. And then it sat there neglected for 6 months. Oops. But now it's done-ish! I'll be adding new...

Happy fall ya'll! I can't help it, I'm from Texas. Welcome, welcome. Today we are going to walk through the fall décor in our home! This year I was feeling inspired by the dark, moody, non traditional fall colors. I went with black, gold, burgundy, green, etc and I am loving the vibe. Let's start in the living room! I have a collection of gold candlestick holders that I've been snagging from various flea markets and boutiques and knew I wanted them styled in some greenery on the mantle. But...

Hey there! Blogging twice in one week, I must be on a roll! I just completed a fun little project and I am pretty excited to share it. This will be a How-To post in case you want to create the look for yourself! Ever since we moved into our farmhouse, I have wanted to do a cutting board wall in my kitchen. I've seen several inspiration shots on blogs and Pinterest and I knew I would absolutely love it in my own home. I began by collecting cutting boards with handles because I wanted them all to...

Hello friends! Welcome back! Today I am sharing my final "in person" Designer Led project install. This room was created for a SEVENTH time client. We did numerous rooms at her former home and again here in her new home. We have done everything from consulting to Client Led Packages to Designer Led Packages and I'm here to say again, she is a dream. They had this home built and wanted to focus their budget on creating the family room from scratch. All furniture from the former home was moved...

Today I am revealing our daughters' shared room! My 6 year old daughter and I found a picture of a huge framed bird with a pink background on Pinterest when we were looking for inspiration for her new bedroom. She looooooved the bird...but wanted a blue background instead. Which meant I couldn't just buy the print of the bird we had found. SOOOOO...I painted her one instead. And she adores it! I even let her pick the blue she wanted from Sherwin Williams. I deserve some mad credit for that....

Today I am sharing our son's room! He only had two requests. 1) A massive T-Rex on the wall, which he assumed I would paint. Wrong. And 2) Somewhere to hang his artwork/schoolwork. I was happy to oblige! Here is a look at the "before"...
